Our Alignment
The Sustainable Business Guide is committed to adhering to and furthering the progress of The United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Specifically goals 8, 12, 13, and 17.
Understanding SDG Goal 8
The United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 8 promotes inclusive and sustainable economic growth, employment, and decent work for all.
The SBG’s commitment to goal 8:
The Sustainable Business Guide commits to SDG 8 and will provide equal employment opportunities, fair and equal pay to all employees, and will provide accommodations and assistance for all employees to complete and maintain their tasks and positions. Additional details on the implementation and execution will be reflected in the annual impact report. The first impact report is on-track for publication at the end of 2023.
The SBG will also encourage partners to implement SDG 8.
Understanding SDG Goal 12
The United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 12 ensures sustainable consumption and production patterns, which is key to sustaining the livelihoods of current and future generations.
The SBG’s commitment to goal 12:
The Sustainable Business Guide commits to SDG 12 and was formed to aid the components of a circular and more sustainable economy, which this goal is built around. The SBG will continue to exclusively provide sustainable alternatives for consumption.
Additionally, the SBG will encourage companies to adopt sustainable practices and support companies alongside their sustainable journeys.

Understanding SDG Goal 13
The United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 13 is taking urgent action to combat climate change and its devastating impacts.
The SBG’s commitment to goal 13:
The Sustainable Business Guide commits to SDG 13 which couples with the other SDGs that directly relate to the SBG. Specifically, the SBG will apply relevant goals outlined in the SDG Act Now campaign for the UN’s 2030 goal.
Additionally, the SBG will encourage its audience, consumers, partners, and staff to apply the knowledge shared on this website and across the other SBG platforms, to understand and use purchasing power, lifestyle choices, and voting power to help accelerate the mitigation of climate change.
Details on the implementation and execution of this goal will be reflected in the annual impact report. The first impact report is on-track for publication at the end of 2023.
Understanding SDG Goal 17

The SBG’s commitment to goal 17:
The Sustainable Business Guide commits to SDG 17 and is built on effective partnerships that are rooted in sustainability and the consistency of its progress.
In addition to providing users/the community with information to help more people globally understand sustainability, sustainable lifestyles, and sustainable alternatives, the SBG will continue to work with businesses to encourage and build effective partnerships. Specifically, this includes resource sharing, providing services to accelerate sustainable reporting, and business-to-business community development as a way to streamline cross-industry and overall sustainability progress.
Details on the implementation and execution of this goal will be reflected in the annual impact report. The first impact report is on-track for publication at the end of 2023.
