Introducing The SDG World Tour
The SDG World Tour is a seventeen-month series that focuses on understanding and advancing the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) while applying the global focus to Chicago and the greater Illinois area.
About The SDG World Tour
From January 2025 to May 2026, Macaila Britton and Sustainable Business Guide will publish an interactive map of businesses, groups, and initiatives that align with that month’s featured SDG. Maps are open to community suggestions and any businesses, brands, initiatives, or groups aligned to those SDGs in Illinois or serving the Illinois communities can easily submit themselves and be added.
Inspired by the Global Shaper’s Phoenix Hub, this project builds on their aim to eradicate some of our communities’ greatest problems and have fun while doing so!
The purpose of this project is to share resources so more people can understand what the SDGs look like in practice within their communities. Then, take that understanding to use their purchasing power to support businesses while building a stronger, just, and more equitable future for people, the planet, and species.
