About Pela:
Pela creates products free from BPA, lead, cadmium, and phthalates. Their cases are sturdy and intended to last. While their items are biodegradable, they aren’t compatible with most home composting setups and will only break down when placed in the appropriate composting environment.

Manufacturing
Pela produces most of its cases and accessories in Canada and Hong Kong. Cases are created with longevity in mind.
100% compostable phone case products are made with high recycled material content, most having the ability to compost at the end of their life. (Please note that compostable plastic will not biodegrade in a landfill and must be properly placed in a compost environment.)

Materials Used
Pela uses raw materials that are either partially or completely derived from renewable resources, such as plants and microorganisms. They continue to work to remove themselves from being dependent on fossil fuel resources and GHG emissions. Pela focuses on a circular design which allows for a more sustainable and regenerative company, further endorsed by their Pela 360 program. As a way to ensure their products will biodegrade into CO2, water, inorganic compounds, and biomass in a natural cycle, Pela Case conducts ongoing testing of the materials used to make their products.
